What happened
International Out-of-Home Week 2026 (IOOHW 2026) ran from 25 February to 3 March 2026, with Malaysian media owners running creative campaigns across more than 9,400 digital out-of-home screens concentrated in high-density Klang Valley locations. It was a coordinated, industry-wide push to put outdoor advertising in front of brands and agencies at the same time, across a large chunk of the country's digital inventory.
Why the scale matters
9,400-plus screens in one push is a reminder of how much digital OOH inventory now exists in the Klang Valley alone, on top of the static boards that have always been there. For a brand deciding where to put a launch or a seasonal campaign, that scale is also a reminder that visibility is competitive — screens near the busiest interchanges and malls get booked early, and that only gets more true around events like IOOHW where media owners are actively pitching their best sites.
What this means if you're planning a campaign
Industry moments like this are a useful cue to plan ahead rather than book at the last minute, especially for prime Klang Valley sites. It's also a good time to ask what's actually available in your target area right now, since digital and static inventory both move fast when the market is active. Tell us your area and timing and we'll tell you what's realistic to book.
